I have always loved writing, and communicating science to a variety of audiences is something I’ve found rewarding and worthwhile during my career thus far. I trained as a synthetic organic chemist, completing a MChem at the University of Southampton, followed by a DPhil at the University of Oxford in organic chemistry/chemical biology on antimicrobials. Before becoming a medical writer, I worked for two years as a pharmaceutical chemist in a CRO, with lots of troubleshooting and patent writing!

I love to participate in STEM outreach and have been able to take up lots of opportunities for teaching and demonstrating to school students and the public. I am excited to communicate high-level science in many different formats and continue building expertise about disease areas.

In my spare time you can find me playing RPGs, reading graphic novels, or listening to music.
